Big Lake

Wednesday we went up to Big Lake with Lana and Gabe. We all crammed into their ranger and away we went! On the way up Beau made us stop and he caught a Lizard, of course, we all got out to look at it, and he gave it to Kyler. It was pretty funny...he just looked at it and squeezed it...till it was almost purple!
When we got there we made a fire, and Beau went fishing, he got skunked! We hung out, let Kyler play in the dirt, cooked hot dogs and roasted S'mores! MMM...it was a blast! Beau even invented a new way to cook the chocolate!!

The River

Last Thursday after we got off work we went to THE RIVER with Lana, Gabe, Karson, The Neilsen Kids and the Mackelprangs! IT WAS A BLAST! The boys tried to "surf" and ate crap...a lot. Karson, Beau, and I walked clear up the river, then got in a blow up raft and floated down...Kyler played in the water and loved it until Beau put him clear in. He had a lot of fun tho, he played in the sound and had LOTS of attention, so of course, he was super happy! After the sun started to go down we cooked lots of hot dogs! It was a lot of fun!

Hauling Hay / Roping

Monday, after Beau got off work we went and helped my Dad, Karson, and Ryder haul hay. We had three trucks so it got done really quick! Beau thinks our HOUND dog Todd is a cow dog...after we got our truck loaded he threw him up on top and away we went. Luckyily...Todd made it and did really good...but have you ever seen a Hound Dog on top of the hay in a truck? It's pretty dang funny!!

After we hauled all the hay Ryder and Beau roped the dummy...they got quite technical. They had a lot of fun though, and suprisingly...my hubby is quite the roper!!

POPSICKLE

Kyler had his first popsickle on Monday. It was the fruit kind, with no sugars, and oh goodness...he LOVED it! He'd lick it really fast and then smile really big...! After a while he'd get a little braver and suck on it a little longer....and a little longer. It was way super cute!!

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY

Our 4th of July was probably a lot like everyone elses...Parade, Park, HOT, and Fireworks!

Beau's mom, her boyfriend, and his little sister came and stayed with us over the holiday weekend! We had quite a bit of fun. Saturday morning Beau had to be to work at 6:00 so we met him in the Albertsons parking lot and watched the parade, and died of heat! I was really excited for Ky to see his first parade...but he slept through most of it. After the parade Beau went back to work and we all walked up to the city park for fun and games. I stopped in to my great grandma's and visited with the family and let Kyler play on the grass...HE LOVED IT! He would pull the grass and try to eat it! After about a half hour of all the people we went back to my house and relaxed. The rest of the day was pretty lax. Later that night we watched the town's fireworks from our front lawn, then did our own...it was a lot of fun. Ky missed his first firework show also! It was way past his bed time, but we sure did have a lot of fun. The neighbors grandkids taught us how to make home made smoke bombs too...thats neat!!

That was about it for our fourth....!

He's SO big

Last night I was folding Kyler's clothes and putting them away in his room. Well he was trying to help me and just kept picking up the already folded ones and throwing them everywhere, so i set him in his crib. He's learned to go from laying down to sitting byhimself!! So he sat up and was holding onto the bars on the crib and started squishing his face inbetween them...the harder Beau and I would laugh, the more he'd do it. I tried to get some pics, but my camera has some Lag time so by the time it took the picture, he wasn't doing it anymore :( but man, was it funny! Beau took him out to change his sheets, and went to put him back in the crib and he straigtened his legs and got mad, so he just let him stand up and hold onto the crib...man..he's a strong little fella..he stood there forever!!

:...LAKE POWELL...:

Last weekend, June 25-28 Beau and I got to go to Lake Powell with his Uncle Dan, Aunt Lana, and cousin Gabe! It was a Blast! They have a Cabin Cruiser so we didn't really get off the boat except to hike. We arrived at Lake Powell Thursday afternoon...found a GREAT spot (well we thought it would be), dropped anchor next to Don and Kami, and ate fried chicken for dinner. Well about ten o'clock the wind started to blow...really hard and the anchor came undone so we were floating into rocks! So, its super dark, there was only a sliver of a moon, and we were driving through Lake Powell...oh ya..and I forgot to mention...IM AFRAID OF DEEP WATER! But, after a while we found some sand and docked!

Friday morning Dan, Beau and I were up at the crack of dawn fishing. Beau caught a bass, and a cat fish, and I caught a cat fish...and the stupid thing sliced my finger open! After breakfast we did a little more fishing (no one caught anything) and then went to explore the lake. Our first stop was a cave, you can drive your boat clear into it and turn around...its such a neat view from inside! I'll have to post those pics later...Don and Cami took those pictures for us. We also went to a Whirlpool, it's at the end of the canyone and you just shut your boat off, and you turn in circles in this whirlpool, it was really neat! We just layed out, fished, listened to music, and laughed at these two little kids that were running up a steep steep hill from their mom! Friday was just kind of the relax and ride in the boat day, but boy was it super fun!!!

Saturday, once again, Beau and Dan were up at the crack of dawn fishing, and once again, they were skunked! After we got going we went to Defiance House. It was really really neat! (other than I had to swim across a nasty dirty chanel to get there. It was a long hike, but totally worth it. We also hike up another canyon to another cave with a pond inside it. I guarentee there are prehistoric fish in it! It was really neat to. On the way up we seen millions of polywogs in the little stream. We also found 3 frogs inside a deep rock with water inside it. Beau and Gabe LOVED it! After all the excitement was over we headed up towards hite and camped in a little bay next to farelys canyon. It was so nice, there was NO ONE up there. We swam, and yep, even I swam! Beau and I were going to go for a little hike, but he found the biggest lizard ever so we had to catch that and take it back to the boat. Its scales were like a rattle snacks and its belly was bright yellow and blue! We even seen a boil, if you don't know what that is its when stripers (its a fish) push these little tiny fish called shad to the surface of the water and eat them, it makes a hole bunch of air bubbles and looks awsome!

Sunday we just woke up and drove home...It was a really fun trip thoough! We really enjoyed it.

While we were at the Lake, Kyler was camping with Grandma and Grandpa Ripp. They said he had a really good time up there with everyone, and got malled to death by his cousins!

I've got tons more FUN FUN photo's...but my camera died so We had to use Dan and Lana's...I'll get them here soon!

Hope everyone has a great Fourth of July!!
